The Karoo area in the Northern Cape Province is protected for radio astronomy purpose and the Astronomy Management Authority (AMA), a business unit of the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) is responsible for spectrum management and spectrum monitoring. Figure 1 is an illustration of the online platform used by AMA for spectrum management and Spectrum monitoring in the protected Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas.
