Provision of Chiller Coolant to be Delivered to SARAO Klerefontein Office, Carnarvon, Northern Cape

Description:

SARAO invites the submission of quotations for the following:
12x Clean water 25 liter plastic labelled containers, consisting of:
Water from the Cape Town area (or any area where the chlorides are less than 200mg/l, the total hardness is less than 400mg/l and a sufficiently low conductivity of approximately 100mS) with the correct chemicals and concentrations. With anti-freeze (Mono Ethylene Glycol) making up 23.5% (volumetric) of the solution added the other chemicals at a concentration of 0.75% for the rust inhibitor and 0.008% for the biocide. Containers clearly labelled stating mixing ratio, expiring date, hazardous (N.B. please provide Certificate of conformance stating supplied goods meet the required specification)

• 2x Rust inhibitor 10 liter
• 2x Biocide 0.5 liter

N.B. Please note that water from KAROO or areas with high concentration of calcium & magnesium in water ("hard water areas") is absolutely not suitable, as this will be used in sensitive cooling systems.

N.B. The SARAO SCM office is open for delivery daily from 8am-3pm.
