Appointment of an Air Emergency Services in the Northern Cape Site for Possible Cases of Injuries /Accidents of a Serious Critical Nature on an Ad Hoc Basis for a period of three years

Description:

The scope of work for this category may include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following components as listed below:

Deliverables:

• A provision of air emergency services with the response activation time within 45/60 minutes disembarking at SARAO Losberg Site Land-strip or Carnarvon Land-strip.
• Provision of Qualified paramedics, doctors and nurses with experience in all forms of emergencies and evacuation services must be available on board the aircraft.
• Facilitating all administrative documentation required in the process of claiming through COIDA Act, requirements.
• Conducting Emergency Mock Drill at least once per year in the contract period.
• Provision of base station that has a well-equipped facility, the correct PPE, a health and safety file and a COIDA Certificate of Good standing.
• Transportation of patience to any major hospital of their choice (i.e. Between Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Kimberly, Johannesburg or any hospital) in South Africa.
• Providing life support at the scene of the incident before transfer and during flight to a specific medical facility of their choice.
• Providing 24 Hours telephonic communication assistance and a well-controlled support services at all times.

NB: The SARAO SCM office is open for delivery daily from 8am-3pm. Kindly ensure deliveries are made during these times only.
