Scope of work
The HERA project wishes to appoint a service provider to supply, manufacture and deliver three different cable assembly types for the duration of the operational life of the HERA instrument ending 31 March 2024
- The cables will be used as spare parts in the event of a failure of one of the installed units on site.
- SARAO will request from the supplier via a works order that they need X many of a type cable, for example a typical works order may request that you deliver 5x Coax ,2 drums of fibre and 7 cat7 assemblies, the contractor will then manufacture and deliver those.
- The cables will be requested on an as and when needed basis ONLY. If we need the service, we will contact you to manufacture. Don’t manufacture if we have not issued you a works instruction.
- The contract will be in place with the supplier from the 1st January 2022 to the 31st March 2024.
- The contract will end when either the quantities requested in this RFQ have been reached or the contract period expires.
- The quantities requested in this RFQ are merely estimations on our expected replacements, there is no guarantee that we will need the service provider to manufacture all of the assemblies.
- We wish to have this contract in place to ensure timeous access to spares.
