Provision of maintenance and repair of Chiller Unit at Losberg Site, Carnarvon, Northern Cape

Summary:

The HERA project requires the services of on air conditioner contractor to perform maintenance and repair work on the cooling system in its computing container on site. The following is a list of current known repairs that need to be completed.
Make and model number of chiller unit: Emerson Network Power:

S20DA2000A0021F0.

• [SOW1] Replace ½” inch sight glass.
• [SOW2] Replace faulty cold fire controller.
• [SOW3] Supply and fit new ½” inch drier.
• [SOW4] Replace damaged outdoor condenser unit.
• [SOW5] The new condenser unit supplied in [SOW4] shall be supplied and fitted with a new set of air filters.
• [SOW6] Two additional sets of air filters shall be supplied to SARAO as spares.
• [SOW7] Two cans of R407C 13kg disposable cylinders shall be supplied to SARAO as spare.
• [SOW8] The supplier shall indicate to SARAO the warranty/guarantee period for any new parts fitted and its associated work.
• [SOW9] All work shall be carried out at the SARAO Losberg site located at 30°43'15"S 21°25'40"E.

N.B.
SARAO will not be responsible for arranging accommodation and/or transport.
Should the contractor need to perform a site visit for the purposes for preparing a quote, they would need to indicate this by sending an email to zhalday@ska.ac.za to arrange a suitable date and time.
