SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS

Handover from outgoing Senior Engineer RFI
1.1 Work to be done
The appointed bidder(s) will be required to take over from the outgoing SARAO Senior
Engineer RFI, all tasks related to RFI software development but will exclude tasks
related to RFI testing.
The software development tasks includes:
a. Development of the RFI Measurement Infrastructure software
b. Data Analysis and Characterization software
c. RFI Controls software

1.2 Deliverables
The deliverables from this task will include:
a. Minutes of meetings & work sessions held
b. A handover report that includes a master list of all the software packages /
modules, a link to where the source code is stored in the SARAO software
repository and a statement on the quality / maturity of each software module

2. Plan the ongoing software development of the RFI team
2.1 Work to be done
The appointed bidder(s) will be required to develop a plan for the ongoing development
and support of the RFI software packages and modules, including allocating the tasks to
various members of the RFI team including the Graduate Trainee Engineers.

2.2 Deliverables
The deliverables from this task will include:
a. Draft Software Development Plan
b. Review with RFI Manager & RFI team
c. Final Software Development Plan

3. Technical lead for ongoing RFI software development
3.1 Work to be done
The appointed bidder(s) will be required to be the technical lead for the ongoing
development of the RFI software based on the software development plan. This task will
include giving guidance and mentorship to members of the RFI team including the
Graduate Trainees and to QA any software developed by members of the RFI team.

3.2 Deliverables
The deliverables from this task will include:
a. Internal reviews of software
b. Software source code in SARAO software repository
