Location: SARAO Office, 2 Fir Street, Black River Park, North Gate Entrance, Observatory. Cape Town.

Summary:

SARAO wishes to appoint services of a photographer, videographer and drone pilot for updated visuals of our site in Carnarvon, in the Northern Cape.

The service providers must be knowledgeable in night time filming, as well as start rails and time-lapse sequences.

The service provider must be available for a period of a week, where all filming can be completed.

Images needs to be captured in raw and delivered as such as well as in 'Tiff' file formats and video footage filmed on compatible cameras which facilitates a LOG picture profile format with raw video files delivered for editing and post production at a later date.

At the very least the footage should have a sufficiently high dynamic range to correct for minor exposure errors without creating artefacts.

All equipment used, by the service provider, must conform to the strictest of RFI requirements, vetted and a permit issued before the appointed service provider may be allowed to go on site.

Please note that all equipment should be hardwired with no WIFI, or Bluetooth capabilities activated to ensure that the dishes are not damaged during the filming or photography.

Samples of night imaging and start trails need to be provided.

Accommodation and transport will be provided. Please add S&T to your quotation, as well as the costs of the two travel days.

Filming will take 6 consecutive days.
