Appointment of Service Provider to conduct the selection for filing of vacant positions within SARAO

Location: SARAO Office, 2 Fir Street, Black River Park, North Gate Entrance, Observatory. Cape Town.

Closing Date: 22 March 2021

Description:

SARAO is calling for interested and suitably qualified recruitment agencies to submit proposals to provide recruitment services as and when required. Recruitment agencies will be utilised should a vacancy arise whereby the recruitment process requires agencies to assist by sourcing suitable candidates.
The process of the Recruitment will mainly be as follows:

1. A job specification will be sent out to the qualifying agency/ies
2. Agencies will be provided a time frame by which they would need to submit qualifying candidates who meet the minimum job requirements;
3. The Agencies must ensure that all candidates have had vetting and reference checks completed prior to submitting their applications for any vacancies;
4. All copies of qualifications, ID, driver’s licences and detailed Curriculum vitae and vetting and reference checks are to be furnished by the Agency. Failure to submit the required documents may result in the CV being disqualified.
5. Complete confidentiality will be maintained by SARAO HR personnel in these regards.
6. The HR department will then screen, and shortlist with the selection panel which applicants are to be invited to interviews;
7. The HR department will communicate the interview date and time and the agency is to ensure that the shortlisted candidate is present at the interview;
8. If a candidate is successful, the Agency is to ensure that the candidate’s offer is concluded within time frames.
9. The Agency is to ensure that a minimum guarantee of 1 YEAR is in place should the candidate leave SARAO after being appointed to a position via the Agency

NB: The SARAO SCM office is open for delivery daily from 8am-3pm.
