Description:

PURPOSE:

SARAO wishes to appoint a Security company to provide 12 hour guarding service, 7 days a week. The appointment will for a period of 12 months. Commencing March 2021- February 2022

SCOPE OF WORK
The appointed Service provider will be required to provide guarding services to the SARAO Office.

The following duties must be performed by the Guarding Service Officers:

• Provide guarding service to the SARAO office at 2 Fir Street, North Gate, Black River Park, Observatory
• Responsible for access control, guarding of premises, patrolling of premises, protection of SARAO personnel on duty, protection of property and other security functions as required by the Facility Manager of SARAO
• Monitoring of all access areas in and around the Office area

• Recording of incidents / events in an incidence register and report such incidents to the SARAO Facility Manager.
• Bring any security problems or crime risks to the attention of the SARAO Facility Manager

NB: The SARAO SCM office is open for delivery daily from 8am-3pm
