The SKA Observatory wishes to place a contract on an appropriate Chartered Flights Provider. The procurement is open to organisations within South Africa. Interested parties are requested to register their interest on the Procurement Portal (https://www.kommersannons.se/skaobservatory/). This Market Survey has a closing date of 2023-10-23. Award of the contract to the winning tenderer is planned to be March 2024.

Summary of Requirements:

 The SKAO will procure, in accordance with the SKAO Procurement Policy and Procedures, a chartered flight provider contract from a South African supplier, covering the scope of work summarised below:

• Supply of return flights from Cape Town International Airport to the Carnarvon airstrip, three times per week.

 Contract Type:

Tenderers are requested to submit a tender based on their own standard terms and conditions. The eventual contract between SKAO and the successful tenderer will be tailored based on instructions from SKAO Legal to suit the requirements of SKAO.

Contract Duration and Key Milestones:

 The contract will nominally run for 36 months, with an option to extend to 5 years.
