Please be advised that this Addendum is issued to formally notify you of an amendment to the tender closing date.

1. Amendment Details
The original closing date of the bid was: 23 May 2025 at 11:00AM
The new closing date of the bid is: 30 May 2025 at 11:00AM

All other terms and conditions of the bid document remain unchanged. This Addendum will form part of the bid
document.

2. Additional Note Regarding Early Submissions

Bidders who have already submitted their proposals prior to the original closing date of 23 May 2025 are advised
that their submissions remain valid.

Should they wish to amend or re-submit their proposals in light of the extended closing date they are permitted to
do so, provided the final submission is made on or before 30 May 2025 at 11:00 AM, and in accordance with the
tender submission procedures outlined on the cover page.

Please be advised that an Erratum Notice and a Revised Bid Document (Version 2) have been issued following the compulsory briefing session held on 09 May 2025.

The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (‘SARAO’) hereby invites submissions for the following tender -

COMPULSORY TENDER CLARIFICATION MEETING:

A compulsory tender clarification meeting will take place as follows –
Date – Friday, 09 May 2025
Time - 10.00 – 11:00AM
Venue - 18A Gill Street, Observatory, Johannesburg, GPS Coordinates: 33° 56’21,933”S & 18° 28’53,5326”E
Persons attending the clarification meeting must be duly authorised to represent the bidder. Any bid submitted by a bidder not represented at the clarification meeting will be rejected.

PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT SYSTEM:

The 80/20 price and preference points system, as prescribed by Section 4 of the Preferential Procurement
Regulations, 2022 issued under the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, (Act No 5 of 2000) (PPPFA) will be applied to evaluate this bid

EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Bidders must satisfy the evaluation criteria in Stages 1 and 2 of the bid selection process in order to be evaluated further on site inspection evaluation criteria (Stage 3) and price and specific goals (Stage 4). Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

BID SUBMISSION:

Bids received after the closing date and/or time will be disqualified.

Select tender number in search by, Enter the tender number, the tender will appear and click on it, you look for tender with the Tick sign ✔ for e-submissions, you click the plus + sign to expand, you scroll down and click start e- submission. Log in with your CSD log in details, you can then proceed from there.
