Location: SARAO Office, 2 Fir Street, Black River Park, North Gate Entrance, Observatory. Cape Town.

Lead Time: 10 working days after the official order

SARAO wishes to appoint a steel Fabricator for the fabrication of various steel parts for the commercialisation department projects. The appointment will be for a period of 36 months [3 years] on an as and when needed basis.

The successful bidder will be required to provide labour, materials, and transportation services required to provide periodic and ongoing Metal Fabrication services to include, but not limited to:
1. Stainless steel & Laser cutting,
2. Stainless steel bending,
3. Stainless steel welding,
4. Aluminium cutting,
5. Aluminium machining,
6. Aluminium bending,
7. Steel Water piping connecting to integrated pumps,
8. Assembly of cut and bent parts,
9. Procurement of items relating to assembly

Certified weld inspections services are also desired and should be included in Contractors quote. SARAO and its engineers who require this service will ensure the drawing for the specific parts are supplied in the correct format to ensure accuracy when fabrications are required.
